Alright folks, grab a coffee because today was a bit of a scramble. Week 15 waiver wire time, and my squad? It’s looking a little beat up. Injuries hitting hard, couple guys just not performing. Needed bodies, and fast.

The Morning Panic
Woke up kinda late for this stuff, usually I’m on it Tuesday nights. Big mistake. Jumped on the computer first thing, coffee barely brewed. Felt that urgency, ya know? Logged into my main league platform. Opened the free agent list, sorted by owned percentage. Just scanned quick at first, see who jumped out.
Problem Number One:
The dang platform tools suck for deeper dives. It’s just names and teams, basic stats. No easy way to see trends, matchups, nothing. Really gotta dig elsewhere for context.
Digging Like a Madman
Opened up my trusty – well, somewhat trustworthy – fantasy news sites. Had like five tabs open. Skimming articles, looking for names linked to my “adds” article. See guys buzzing about certain players.
- Gus Edwards, RB, BAL. Everyone screaming “Gus Bus!” after last week.
- Some TE for the Saints, Juwan Johnson maybe?
- Kicker suggestions… always forget about kickers till the last minute.
- WRs? Tough sledding. Saw Demarcus Robinson’s name floating for BAL. Meh.
Cross-referenced. Checked injury reports. Who’s the backup if someone’s banged up? Felt like being a detective with scattered clues.

My Process Was:
- See a name popping up on a couple sites.
- Check the actual player page on the league site. Targets? Touches? Snaps?
- Look up that team’s situation. Did their starter get hurt? Is someone benched?
- Peek at their Week 15 matchup. Facing a soft run defense? Tough secondary?
The Fumble
Was scrolling fast on the league app later. Saw a defense someone just dropped – Cleveland Browns. They got the Bears next week? Could be juicy. Went to click “Add Player”… BAM. Waiver period still active. Forgot those top adds go through waivers Wednesday morning, not immediate adds. Doh! Total newb move. Just stared at the screen, mildly pissed off.
Making My Claims
Okay, regroup. Decided on priorities based on my dumpster fire roster:
- Gus Edwards (RB – BAL). Need RB help desperately. Even with JK Dobbins potentially back, Gus runs hard, gets goal line looks.
- Noah Brown (WR – HOU). Just got word Nico Collins might be hurt? Targets gotta go somewhere.
- Juwan Johnson (TE – NO). My current TE is trash. Why not roll the dice?
- Cleveland D/ST. Seriously, against the Bears? Sign me up.
Put $15 FAAB on Gus (my RB room is that bad), $7 on Noah Brown, $1 each on Johnson and the defense. Crossed my fingers.
The Long Wait & Outcome
Refreshed like crazy Wednesday morning. Nervous energy. Coffee helped.

Results:
- WIN: Snagged Gus Edwards! Priority bid held up. Felt like a minor victory.
- LOSE: Missed Noah Brown by like $2. Someone wanted him more. Crap.
- WIN: Got Juwan Johnson for the $1. Fine.
- WIN: Got Cleveland D/ST for $1. Steal if they do anything.
Overall, landed 3 outta 4 targets. Feeling okay, not great. That RB spot is slightly less terrifying with Gus.
Post-Waiver Scratching
Went back browsing leftovers since I missed Brown. Snagged some dude Ezekiel Elliott as an RB flier? Did he get hurt again? Honestly can’t even remember now. Might have bought an extra kicker on accident too. Week 15 brain fog setting in early, folks. Realized I probably should have gone for a QB as a stash too. Too late now! That’s it until next week.
