Alright, so I wanted to share my experience with keeping tabs on Live Oak Bancshares, or LOB as it’s known in the stock world. You know, I like to keep my finger on the pulse of what’s happening with different companies, and LOB caught my eye some time ago.
So, I started by just, you know, googling around for “LOB news”. Just to see what the latest buzz was. Pretty straightforward stuff, right?
Found some basic info, like where to get their press releases, and some general financial news sites that cover them. Nothing too crazy.
Then I dug a bit deeper. I started checking out what analysts were saying about LOB. You know, the folks who get paid to predict this kind of stuff. Seems like most of them think it’s a “Buy”, which is always a good sign. They’re predicting a stock price of around $45.67 in the next year, so that’s interesting.

I also found out that LOB is going to release their financial results for the third quarter of 2024 on October 23rd. After the market closes, of course. Gotta mark that on the calendar.
Then there’s this site called “The Fly” – never heard of it before, but they seem to have a lot of up-to-the-minute news on companies. They had some stuff on LOB’s latest earnings, which apparently weren’t as good as expected. Something about a -47.17% surprise in earnings and a 2.61% surprise in revenue. Not great, but hey, it happens.
Keep tabs on
So, yeah, that’s basically what I’ve been up to with LOB. Just keeping tabs, reading what I can, and trying to get a sense of where the company is headed. It’s a bit of a mixed bag right now, but that’s the stock market for you, isn’t it? Always something to keep an eye on!
