Then, I realized the time difference. Had to double-check when it actually started in my timezone. Didn’t want to sit down all ready and realize I missed the first quarter or something. Made a note of the start time.

  • Scrounged around the pantry for chips or maybe some pretzels.

Didn’t really have a horse in the race, just wanted to see some decent football. The energy seemed pretty high, even through the screen. You could tell both teams really wanted it.

Had a couple of interruptions. Phone rang once, had to take that. Then the dog decided he needed to go out right during a crucial third down, typical. Managed to get back without missing too much action, though.

Finished the nachos way too early, probably by halftime. Just watched the rest of it, enjoying the competition. Some really close calls, a few flags thrown. You know how these games go. It wasn’t a blowout or anything, stayed interesting right down to the wire.

Wrapping Up

When it was all over, Kansas State pulled out the win. It was a hard-fought game, gotta give credit to both sides. Cleaned up the snack mess, turned off the TV. Just another game day experience, really. Took a little planning, a little setting up, but ended up being a decent way to spend the evening. Glad I made the effort to watch it.
