Once the ebook was done, I needed a place to sell it. I chose Gumroad. It’s simple, straightforward, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to set up. I created a product page, wrote a killer description (or at least I tried to!), and set a price. I went with $5. Seemed fair, right?
Now, the real challenge: getting people to actually buy the thing. I started by sharing it on my social media. I posted about it on Facebook, Twitter, and even Instagram. I even bugged my friends and family to share it too.
I also tried running some small ads on Facebook. I targeted people who were interested in home organization and decluttering. It cost me a few bucks, but it did help get the word out.
Did I become a millionaire overnight? Nope. But I did sell a few copies of my “Junk Drawer Organization Guide.” It wasn’t much, but it was enough to cover my costs and give me a little boost of confidence.
Here’s the honest truth: the whole “michael sell” thing was a learning experience. I learned about domain names, ebook creation, online selling, and even a little bit about marketing. And the best part? I actually did something! I turned an idea into a real, tangible product. That’s a win in my book.
