Okay, so, I finally did it. I got myself a Harley. Not just any Harley, though – a real beauty I’ve been eyeing for a while. I’m calling her Brong’s Bike.

First off, let me tell you, walking into that dealership was a bit intimidating. So many shiny bikes, all lined up, looking all tough and cool. But I knew what I wanted. I’d done my homework. I spent weeks, maybe months, reading up on different models, checking forums, and even talking to some folks who already own Harleys.

My main thing was, I didn’t want to end up with a bike that spent more time getting fixed than being ridden. I heard some stories, you know? Some people said certain older models, like those Twin Cam 88s from the early 2000s, had a bunch of problems. I definitely wanted to steer clear of those.

So, I started looking at newer models, did a deep dive into all the specs, and tried to figure out what would be the best fit for me. It’s not just about the looks, right? It’s gotta feel right, too.

  • I sat on a few different bikes.
  • Felt the weight, checked the handlebars, the whole deal.
  • Then, I saw her. Brong’s Bike. It was love at first sight.

We haggled a bit on the price – you always gotta haggle, right? It’s part of the game. Ended up getting a decent deal, I think. I know these bikes can be a bit pricey, but I figured, hey, it’s an investment. Plus, I heard that Harleys hold their value pretty well, so that’s a bonus.

Finally, I signed the papers, and she was mine. Rode her home that day, and let me tell you, it was awesome. The engine, the feel of the road, the looks you get… it’s all part of the experience.

Taking Care of Brong’s Bike

Now, I know I gotta take good care of her. Regular oil changes, checking the tires, the whole nine yards. I want this bike to last a long time, and I want to be able to enjoy every ride without worrying about some sudden breakdown.

So, that’s my story. I finally got my Harley, and I’m loving it. It’s more than just a bike; it’s a whole new adventure. And I’m excited to see where it takes me.
