Okay, let’s talk about Justin Lower. I started following him back in 2014 when he first hit the * Tour, which, you know, is now called the Korn Ferry Tour. I remember watching him play, and I was like, “This guy’s got something.” I mean, the guy won the Ohio Open twice, in 2012 and 2015. That’s no small feat, people!

Justin Lowers Game: What Makes Him Stand Out? (Quick Read)

Then, in 2021, I really got hooked. He played in the Korn Ferry BMW Charity Pro-Am, and get this, he won the pro-am division! He was paired with this guy named Doug Walker. I don’t know who Doug is, but they made a heck of a team. It was around then I started digging into his story a bit more.

  • Following His Journey: I spent hours, I mean hours, scouring the internet for anything I could find on Justin. News articles, old interviews, stats, you name it, I was on it. I even started following his wife on social media, hoping to get some behind-the-scenes glimpses.
  • Emotional Connection: Reading about his personal life, especially the tragedy he faced when he was younger, really hit me. I mean, on Father’s Day, he lost his dad and brother in a car accident. They were on their way to pick him up from the golf course. Can you imagine? It’s just heartbreaking. That’s when I went from just being a fan of his game to really rooting for him as a person.
  • PGA TOUR Dream: I remember reading somewhere that when he was just a kid, like 11 or 12, he told his dad he was going to play on the PGA Tour. And his dad, being a dad, was like, “Sure, kid.” But Justin wasn’t just dreaming. He actually did it! I was following his every move, every tournament, hoping he’d make it big.

A Real Rollercoaster

His first round at the Valspar Championship? Oof, it was rough. I watched it live, and let me tell you, it was a 77. Not his best, that’s for sure. But you know what? It’s all part of the game. You have good days, you have bad days. I kept watching, kept supporting him.

Man, following Justin Lower has been a real rollercoaster. From celebrating his wins to feeling for him during his struggles, both on and off the course. He’s a real inspiration. He’s shown me that with hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of heart, you can achieve your dreams, even after facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
