Okay, so the other day, I was down a rabbit hole trying to figure out what car has been in production the longest. It’s one of those random things that pop into your head, right? I mean, cars come and go, new models all the time, but which one has stuck around the longest?
I started by, well, just thinking. I tried to remember all the oldest car models I could. I brainstormed a bunch, wrote them down on a piece of paper, and realized I needed a better way to do this. My memory is okay, but it’s not that good.
The Search Begins
So, I fired up my trusty computer and started searching. I typed in something like “longest running production car” and hoped for the best. At first, I found a bunch of articles, and they were all saying different things! It was confusing. Some were talking about cars that used to be made but aren’t anymore, and others were talking about cars with the same name, but they were totally different underneath.
I needed to get smarter about my search. I decided to look at specific car makers’ websites. You know, the official sources. This helped a little, but still, it was hard to compare them all side-by-side.

Narrowing It Down
After a while, I started to see some names pop up again and again. There were a few contenders, that I need to focus on. So, I made a list:

Then I dove even deeper. I started looking at the history of each of these cars. I looked at when they first started being made, and if they were still being made today. I also checked if they had changed a lot over the years, or if they were basically the same car. It was like being a detective, but for cars!
The (Apparent) Winner!
After all that digging, I think I have a pretty good answer. It looks like the winner is the [Result]. They’ve been making that thing, in some form or another, since the [Result]. That’s a long time!
I feel pretty confident in my answer, but I’m also open to being wrong. It’s one of those things that’s surprisingly hard to pin down. There are all these little details and arguments about what “counts” as the same car. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right? This whole process was way more involved than I thought it would be, but I learned a ton!
